Community Leaders Stand With Scott

There is no better person to go to Sacramento and represent the 38th District than Scott Wilk. In the era of term limits, you don’t have time for people to slowly learn the system.
— Assemblyman Cameron Smyth
“I have known and worked with Scott Wilk for over two decades. I can guarantee he will be a steadfast conservative leader in Sacramento at a time when we desperately need one.
— Congressman Tom McClintock
I support Scott because he has a record we can trust and the experience we need. He is the only candidate that can get the job done!
— Simi Valley Councilman Glen Beccera
“Scott Wilk is exactly the hard-working tax fighter we need to help stop budget madness in Sacramento. I’m proud to support his candidacy.
— Board of Equalization Member George Runner
Serving as a college board of trustee Scott Wilk knows the importance of education. Scott is committed to higher academic standards and giving parents and teachers a greater voice in student learning.
— Ventura County School Board Member Dean Kunicki

In any election it is important to look at the candidates with as much objectivity as possible. To step back and look at the qualifications of the candidates and determine whether each candidate has the experience, the education, and the sheer wherewithal to actually uphold the responsibilities of the office they are running for. We as voters have to take this seriously; we must have some interest in understanding that the individual we vote for has the qualities to fully represent us in that office. The candidate must, without hesitation, be able to understand the issues that are important, not only to the constituents, but to the larger picture of the state or national arena. That candidate must be able to do so by reaching across the aisle to build bi-partisan cooperation. There are four individuals running for the 38th District State Assembly seat, three Republicans; Patricia McKeon, Paul Strickland, and Scott Wilk, and one Democrat; Edward Headington. The one that stands out as least qualified is Patricia McKeon.

What’s My “Women’s Issue”?

The ECONOMY…JOBS!  I’m hearing a lot of discussion about which candidate will best serve women’s issues this political season. I’d like to share my perspective of why my top “women’s issue” is not specific to women at all!  I’ve come to the conclusion that I am most comfortable with Scott Wilk representing this issue for me in Sacramento.
